Wizkid is arguably the biggest Nigerian artist of all time and Africa’s biggest export currently.
His strides on the Afrobeats music scene hasn’t just transcended what anyone has ever done, the music he does has also set the path for the new generation to come.
In fact, 2 out of every 5 emerging artists in the industry today sounds like Wizkid. Even the ones that don’t sound like the Starboy cannot deny that at one point in time, they’ve been influenced by Wiz‘s music.
With all he’s done, it’s safe to say that nobody is bigger than Wizkid in this industry. Even some of the guys he started with, he’s left them behind and is now on a league of his own.
But people won’t stop smoking cheap herbs, and that’s why every day we see all these comparisons with Wizkid; influencers using Wiz’s name for engagements here and there.
I mean, it’s okay, Wizkid is the standard in this industry, but why will anyone say a kid like Buju is bigger than Wizkid?
