In total, Nigeria has agreed $5.6 billion in loans with China. But as of March 2020, Beijing had disbursed $3.3 billion. With Nigeria already servicing the loans, $3.1 billion was outstanding as of then.
Couple of hours ago, the Nigerian National Assembly has reportedly received a proposal to change the country’s name from Nigeria to the United Africans Republic (UAR).🤣
Does it mean Buhari don’t want to repay China’s Loan? Could it be the reason why they want changed of name? Well, I’m just thinking out loud.😂
Whether they change name or not, China 🇨🇳 still know the country that is owing them.
